ITINERARY

Leave Moshi Town at 0900, heading to Materuni Village. Along the way stop at several villages where you can meet the local people and experience their lifestyles. Upon arrival at Materuni, you will start your coffee tour at a traditional shamba (farm). Here the guide will explain all aspects of the Chagga homestead, including other crops that are grown alongside the coffee.
You will see how the coffee is produced from picking the bean, to roasting, and then drinking a delicious cup yourself. Following the tour you will take a short hike to Materuni Waterfalls (good shoes are recommended), passing through local villages to reach the Materuni waterfalls. Enjoy the fresh, cold air from this magnificent falling water, while you have lunch. After lunch, walk back to your vehicle and drive back to the lodge/hotel for your overnight stay.
